OUR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT IS HIGHLY EXPERIENCED IN DEVELOPING EXACT SPECIFICATION AND DESIGN FOR ALL OF OUR INSTALLATION PRODUCTS.

Upstate Refractory Services, Inc. uses Solidworks 3D CAD in the design of our furnaces, precast refractory shapes, molds, fixtures, electrical drawings, piping schematics, and upgrade projects.  We also have the ability to import drawings from Autocad, and many other programs.  Please contact us if you have any specific questions.

In the design process, we also employ other methods and models to design the the best refractory lining for your application.  This includes the use of heat flow modeling software supported by our suppliers, engineering standards related to anchor hardware selection, proper spacing, alloy selection, and can provide a payback analysis report when performing refractory upgrades.

Our engineers are hands on, and it is likely that the engineer that designed your furnace will be on site for the start up.  We spend a great deal of time in the initial design phase to make sure that we understand your process and expectations.  Our goal is to exceed your expectations every time.

When it comes to the design of precast refractory shapes, we use real world experience. Upstate Refractory Services, Inc. will provide the best design practices, best fabrication equipment, the best possible material selection, the best installation methods, documented initial dryout, and proper packaging.  Your shapes will arrive on time, easily identified, and per the drawing.  We employ the same process when designing ceramic fiber modules, fabricated ceramic fiber board, or steel fabrications.
